If an electrostatic charge is applied to the center, the current will form a contour that bends around the other circles. An electrical field will also be attracted to the circles.
A similar occurrence happens with two rectangles in parallel.
Finally, when 1 volt is applied to the arch in the bottom left corner, and -1 volt in the top right, the current travels to ground (the remaining 2 arches).
When 1 volt is applied to the bottom left and top right arches, the electrostatic field makes a diamond shape as seen above.
